World Bee Day

Since 2018, the World Bee Day is celebrated on the 20th of May, as it is the birthday of Anton Janša, a pioneer of modern apiculture who was born in Slovenia in 1734. The international day was initiated by the Slovenian government with the support of the Apimondia (International Federation of Beekeepers’ Associations) and declared by the UN General Assembly.

Having a dedicated day for the bees reminds us every year of the essential role bees and other pollinators play in our ecosystems. Insects, and mainly bees, contribute to the pollination of 80% of flowering plant species and crops!

As bee feed producers, we are certainly conscious of the importance of preserving the habitat of bees and other pollinators. The preservation of biodiversity is therefore one of our major impact domains on our road towards sustainability. One of our objectives is to continuously increase our efforts to preserve and foster local natural eco-systems across the value chain by taking a leading role in the agro-ecological transition.
